What Daub does
Daub takes a color out of a photograph and tells you how to mix it from the paints you own. Register your palette once, sample a color, and Daub gives you the ratio — not just a hex value.
Restoring a purchase
Open Daub, tap Pro in the top right, then tap Restore purchases at the bottom of that screen. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase. Daub Pro Lifetime and an active Daub Pro Yearly subscription both restore this way, on any device signed in to that account.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
Daub Pro Yearly is billed through your Apple Account, so it is managed there and not inside the app. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Daub. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you already paid for runs out.
Daub Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase. There is nothing to cancel.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The free version
Daub is free to use, with three recipes a day and twenty colors in your book. Daub Pro removes both limits and unlocks every card style, the card signature, and backdrop-free export.
Common questions
- A recipe does not match what I mixed. Photograph a painted swatch of each paint and add it when you register the paint. Daub then knows how that pigment behaves on your paper instead of guessing from its name.
- The color looks wrong in the photo. Photographs carry the tint of the light they were taken in. Keep a scrap of white paper in the frame and tap it, and Daub subtracts that tint.
- Daub says a color is out of reach. The color cannot be made from the paints you registered. Add more paints, or pick the closest match Daub offers.
- Where is my data? Your colors, palettes and photos are stored only on your device. Deleting the app removes them, and they cannot be recovered afterwards.
- Can I use Daub in Korean? Yes. Open the settings inside the app and switch the language.
